The Elvish name generator is a small independent project. It started with a loss: an old website that translated names into Elvish disappeared, and nothing like it was left. This site replaces it, free and with no sign-up.

Names are built from roots inspired by the Elvish languages of fantasy literature. Every root has a meaning, and the same name always gives the same result. Everything runs in your browser: no name is ever sent or stored.
